Might be My Favorite

I may have found my favorite of the year. I love this photo of my husband and our daughter from their hike this week. Captures them beautifully!

For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Psalm 86:5 ESV

Banner Birthday Love

It was fun to surprise my mother-in-law with a banner and gift basket. Waiting for her when she returned home.

Happy birthday, Linda!

Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. Psalm 63:3-4 ESV

Father-Daughter Day Trip

If you have the day off, might as well go on a drive and a hike. Works for my husband and daughter!

Life Group Flower Love

Our Life Group is good at communication. Like this week's turn to do snacks at church. We let each other know what we were bringing.

I love how several of us contributed to the flowers: from our yards and bouquets at home. And it all came together beautifully!

Harbor Life Group Collaboration

Collaboration is the name of the game. Our Life Group put together another great spread for Harbor Church snacks. With fruit, cookies, string cheese, goldfish crackers, muffins, and more. Homemade caramel corn? Yes, please!

Willow Love

I don't need expensive bouquets of flowers. I am happy with some branches from our beautiful willow bush. Works for me!

The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:12 ESV

Life Group Care Package Love

I love how we work together as a team. Our Life Group had fun putting together care packages for two high school graduates who we pray for regularly.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 1 Peter 4:10 ESV

Keep Coming Back

I love how they keep coming back. The volunteer snapdragons are blooming. Right by our front porch.

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Luke 12:27 ESV

Show Up and Be Loved

What a blessing to have our Life Group hosted for dinner tonight! All we had to do was show up. We are loved!

Seasons Come and Go

While I wasn't paying attention, the leaves came back. I love the changing seasons.

Balancing Act

I am trying to do two things at once. Keep track of deadlines. And be in the moment. It is a challenge!

Walk and Talk

I'm thankful for the chances to walk and talk. Enjoy the time you have left before your daughter's senior year is over. Like last week's quick visit to Billy Frank Jr. Wildlife Refuge.

Matching Hanging Basket

Just what I needed. A matching hanging basket to my flower box! I love how my husband re-purposed fence boards and shingles. Adds simple beauty to our home.

Baby Sister Birthday Love

I still feel protective and proud of her. But the five years between us has melted away. Now we are good friends with lots of shared memories. Happy birthday to my baby sister!

Iris Love

We have a beautiful reminder of our neighbors that moved away. The iris they gave us bloomed.

There are friends that come into your life. And you wonder what you would do without them!

Mother's Day Brunch 2018

We are blessed to still have both our moms. They are brave, strong women who are learning how keep going even though their life partners are gone. With unwavering faith.

Happy Mother's Day to my mother-in-law!

Made with Love

I love my husband's creative projects. Like the Mother's Day flower box he built out of old fence boards and shingles. Love it!

However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:33 ESV

Bath Time Buddies

Good thing I took my watch off. Giving our dog a bath means getting soaking wet. With thanks to my co-bather and photographer!

Throwback: First Year of BSF

I found a fun photo from my first year at Bible Study Fellowship. Back when I got a ride with a friend.

Surprised and Sad

I am always surprised and sad to have the year at BSF end. Thirty lessons in Romans, and I feel like we just started. I am looking forward to People of the Promised Land part 1!

Bird in the House

I wasn't sure if anyone was home. But today there was lots of coming and going. Happy to see the bird house being lived in!

Pictured: If you zoom in, you can see the bird flying out.

Spring Checkup

It was about time for a checkup. See how the hydrangea are coming along this spring. And good to get breakfast at the Basement Bistro with my husband and mother-in-law.

Pretty in Pink and Red

I don't know if it is pink or red. Either way, this geranium on our patio table is vibrant! My husband loves working in the yard. Displaying God's handiwork.

Thus says God, the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: Isaiah 42:5 ESV

T is for Trajectory

Just about everyone in our church knows Pastor Seth Winterhalter's favorite word. Trajectory. He is all about being mindful. Purposeful. Living your life with the end in sight. In other words, living for the Kingdom of God.

Happy 40th birthday, Pastor Seth! Thank you for leading us well!

Try to Be Efficient

I am not a crazy multi-tasker. I am not super organized. But I try to be efficient. Where I can. If I am going through the garage to let the dog out, throw a load of laundry in. While I'm at it.

Or do a quick bathroom cleanup after a shower.

Pictured: My favorite laundry basket. Got it for 50 cents at a garage sale years ago.

Life Group Birthday Love

It's fun when a birthday falls on Life Group night. We celebrated our host's birthday with cake and ice cream, plus appetizers to go with our Dispatches from the Front DVD. I also had fun thinking of words that related to our good friend and created a word search puzzle.

Build a Nest

I wish I could see inside. But I won't get close to the bird house. I just watch out the kitchen window. Glad our feathered friends can use the bird house!

Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah. Psalm 84:3-4 ESV
