Mom has Homework

Sometimes I have to get away. So I can do my Bible study homework. I am taking two classes right now. Bible Study Fellowship on Wednesday mornings and Perspectives on Tuesday nights. I can drink coffee and catch up on my reading and studying while our daughter is in class in Olympia.

Hello Senior

I'm glad our daughter isn't too old for first day of school photos. Like today's first day of her senior year of high school. She is well on her way to completing her AA degree at the community college, thanks to the Running Start program.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Psalm 127:4 ESV

Birthday Lunch

We like to spread out birthday celebrations. Do something on the day, and on the days before and after. Cash in on those birthday rewards when you can. Like today's lunch with Grandma.

Leather Man Love

I found a nice leather jacket for my husband today.  Fits perfectly and was a good deal. Love Goodwill Outlet finds!

Two Birthdays!

Happy birthday to our oldest and youngest today! Two birthdays on the same day. Thirteen years apart.

Snuggle Pup

I love how our puppy loves her toys. This photo was not staged. Daisy took her stuffed animal on the chair for her nap.

Now out of the ground the LORD God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. Genesis 2:19 ESV

First Day of BSF 2017

I wasn't sure if I was up to attending this year. But how could I miss? It is my 9th year in Bible Study Fellowship and my first year studying the book of Romans.

Get Sewing

The months have a way of slipping away. I wanted to start making Christmas stockings way ahead of Christmas this year. There is still time to get sewing! After I find the fabric.

Never Forget

Our youngest has no memory of that day. But we will never forget watching the news and being in shock on 9-11. I'm glad our hope is in God and not in our country or governments.

Harbor Church Block Party

It was a beautiful afternoon for our annual church block party. I met some new people and enjoyed seeing my friends' babies.

Deserve a Break

We both deserve a break tonight. Our puppy did a great job getting her shots. She handled all the other dogs and people around without too much barking.

I got some routine blood work done. Actually, it's the lab technician that deserves a break. I am a tough case and don't give it up easily. He used a heating pad and successfully did the blood draw in one try. Painfree.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 ESV

Time for Breakfast

It's good to take time for breakfast. And enjoy a visit with your mother-in-law. Before you have a busy day.

For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD! Psalm 117:2 ESV

Got it Covered

I had a mission to accomplish for a family gathering before my dad's memorial. I needed to find tablecloths for multiple long tables and picnic tables. With little time. I'll spare you the details of my search and skip to the happy ending.

I found two huge curtains at the Goodwill. Perfect for cutting apart and covering the long tables. My mom had matching smaller tablecloths. And they all matched!

Family Moments

It's been a busy end to the summer. But I am thankful for all the good moments with family along the way. Like the day we spent watching our son play in a pickleball tournament.

Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11 ESV

Walk and Talk

It's good to get away for a day. Drive to Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. With just my husband.  Walk and talk. Refresh. Just what we needed.

Holding Up Well

How is my mom doing? She is holding up well. Just a little tired, which is understandable.

Family Game Night

It's good to hang out with family. Have a barbecue, play some card games, and relax. Good times with my brother-in-law, his family, and my mother-in-law this weekend.

Dog Walkers

Glad my brother-in-law and family could visit this weekend. And they had time to take the dogs out for a walk.

Taco Family Love

I don't know if the tacos were the best ever. Or if we were just hungry. But I'm glad we could stop by the Jalisco Tortilla Factory for their 20th anniversary celebration last weekend.
