Rhododendron Love

I love rhodies. They remind me of the beautiful lake-front properties where my grandma and my parents live. My late grandfather loved the beauty all around them.

And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Matthew 6:27-30 ESV

There was a gentleman by the name of Mr. Zable who had over three acres of Rhodies and other bushes. He'd open up his yard Mother's Day through the Summer for people to tour. It was a popular tourist attraction. We went every summer until he died.

Oh, he always remembered children's birthday's. When it was their birthday he would come to there house and play the candy guessing game. If they guessed which hand it was in they got the candy. Then too, when he met a child in any location he would play the candy guessing game with them. He was a well loved man.

Blessings to you,
Marion
