Sweet Memories of Lela

Today friends gathered to remember a woman who lived a quiet life of love and service. I was in Bible studies with her where I was probably the youngest and she was one of the oldest. We were sisters in Christ.

Our loss is heaven's gain. I can only imagine all the visiting among her friends and family in heaven. Maybe with tea, cookies, and cinnamon rolls.

Pictured: Sweet memories of Lela, including cookies baked using her recipes.

and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, 1 Thessalonians 4:11 ESV

Dear One, You were right about "Heaven's Gain." All Heaven rejoices when a saint comes Home. To say nothing of the welcome of Father Himself. Can you imagine standing before....make that kneeling, if not flat on your face before Jesus. Then, He puts His hands out and gently lifts one into a tender embrace. As the song says, "I can only imagine."

I trust Father to comfort all who knew Lela and miss her presence.
