Birthday Dinner Favorites

If it's your son's birthday dinner, bring out the old family favorites. Like Snow on the Mountain (creamed chicken, rice, and toppings). Chocolate cake made with buttermilk and coffee. And create Winnie the Pooh decorations. (I cut up a paper tablecloth and embellished a banner.) Nostalgia works for us.

In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. Proverbs 14:26 ESV

WOW!!! What a GOOD idea for decorations!! I will do that for my granddaughter's birthday in December....maybe even my son's birthday in November. Your chicken mountain dish sounds delish!!! That's another "Mary" recipe I am going to have to try. Pretty soon I'll have a cook book full of Mary-recipes!!

I love you and am blessed to be a part of your journey,

Mary, I have to tell you, I clicked "Snow on the Mountain". When I got back to the 2008 entry, I saw "Sailor Jack Muffins". I had my son print it for me. I am going to make some of the muffins to take to my 3rd son's house when we go over tomorrow.

Like I said, I am getting a cook book of recipes from you!
