Photo of the Year 2011

My photo of the year captures a moment with the whole family. Two children surprised their dad on Father's Day. We met at church, which is a central part of our lives. We are learning about who Jesus is, what He has done for us, and how that impacts everything we do.

My most-cited verse of the year is 1 Timothy 6:17, which reflects the focus of our hope. God is our faithful Provider.

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:17 ESV

Good-bye Christmas

Time to pack it up. Say good-bye. Send two of our children back to Bellingham. With a final road trip with dad and little sis. I can hold down the fort. Clean up. Reflect on good times over Christmas break.

Christmas Blessings

We made the rounds this Christmas. Had time with my husband's family. Time at the farm with my sister's family. All with two of our adult children.

Enjoy the Hike

I sent them with my love. Enjoy the hike without me. But take a photo or two. My husband and his brothers took the kids to Multnomah Falls.

Christmas Cousins

They are not little kids any more. We don't have to offer them crackers so they will sit still for a picture.

It's always good to have family time and cousin time.

Merry Christmas to us all!

We are keeping with tradition. Stockings for Christmas morning. Thanks to my creative wool-artist friend. Yummy Christmas breakfast. Thanks to my mother-in-law and father-in-law. Now to enjoy family times later today!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger." Luke 2:11-12 ESV

Christmas Eve Memories

We had a full day. Wonderful turkey dinner with the grandparents. Family time with three out of four of our children. Christmas Eve service at a nearby church. And our family tradition, opening gifts Christmas Eve.

And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Luke 2:10 ESV

Time Saved Time Wasted

How much is your time worth? I talked to a guy at the grocery store who paid $3 more for dog food so he didn't have to make another stop. I paid 15 cents to make a photo copy at the store so I could use the drive-through at the bank. But then I wasted my afternoon trying to make business calls on the day before a holiday.

The Little Guys

We call them the "little guys." They are our friends' two foster boys. The good news is that they are going to be adopted. Along with their siblings that are with another foster family. But we are all going to miss them.

Pictured: The little guys sitting at our coffee table on Halloween. Along with my mom and friends from our community group.

Happy Wrappers

We don't always make our guests work so hard. But my daughter's friend had fun making cinnamon rolls. Then for dinner she helped wrap potstickers. I had the ground turkey and cabbage filling in the freezer. Ready for happy wrappers.

Sleepover Friend

That's what I call win-win. A sleepover friend for my daughter, and the house cleaned in preparation for said friend. Now sweet laughter fills the home. Works for me.

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV

I am thankful for the man I married. Not just for me. Also for our four children. They have a great dad! We are blessed!

Puppet Show Love

One week ago I made hand motions all the way home from church. Trying to get the hang of puppetry before our impromptu performance for the neighbor kids. I'm not very good at it. But I did it to the glory of God and to bless our neighbor kids.

Pictured: Three puppets with the puppeteers kneeling on the floor in our kitchen. Plus our musically-talented friends, Dan and Jotham on guitars.

Mixed Emotions

It was a day of mixed emotions. Gathered with friends to remember a life devoted to family, children, and God's word. We weren't ready to say good-bye to our friend Mary, but God called her home.

Then we celebrated the one year birthday of our Community Group Baby. We love you, Timothy!

Christmas Program

The little kids sang their hearts out. They recited the Christmas story in Luke. By heart. The middle schoolers, including my daughter, performed on the chimes, did a skit, and sang. Nicely done Mason County Christian School!

Christmas Tree Love

I am always thankful for whatever we have. From straggly Charlie Brown trees to take-a-saw-and-make a-memory to amazing Christmas trees left at our front door.

This year's tree is a Fraser fir that friends picked out and delivered. It is full and beautiful. My husband and daughter decorated it with white lights and red and white balls. Simple elegance.

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:17 ESV

Nativity Lights

Everyone wants to know if I'm ready. Have all my shopping done? Gifts wrapped? Cookies baked? No, no, and no. Christmas letter written? Sorry. But we have lights. A beautiful tree. And Nativity lights in our front yard to remind us what Christmas is all about.

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5 ESV

Use What You Have Game

I like to play a game called, "Use What You Have." When we ran out of room at our party, we used the hallway. My husband used what he had, painter's tape, to mark out numbers on the floor.

The kids marched around until our friend Dan stopped playing the guitar. My husband drew a number and whoever was standing on that number won a prize. Thanks to my parents and a friend who donated prizes for our party!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Our community group worked as a team and pulled off a fun event. Children came from all corners of our loop. We hosted 16 children and 12 adults, including us. We had coloring sheets, a word search, stockings to decorate with glitter glue, a game, music, cake, and a special puppet show production (read: improv).

Each child went home with a stocking filled with goodies. And fun memories of a Happy Birthday Jesus party.

Remember Mary

I will remember Mary surrounded by the children. She loved volunteering in my husband's first grade class when he taught at the Christian school.

I will miss seeing her sit at the back of Bible Study Fellowship.

She lost her courageous battle with leukemia and other infections today.

Pictured: Mary and first graders in 2010.

My Kind of Multi-Tasking

That's multi-tasking. Meet a friend for coffee in the grocery store. Share what God is teaching you. Encourage one another. Then grab your groceries and go about your day.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, Hebrews 10:24 ESV

Good Conversations

I need to be ready. For those conversations about issues of the heart. And Jesus. Today I talked with someone who has a lot of questions about the Trinity. Another person asked me what happens when you die. Then tonight I met a woman at a choir concert. We had a good conversation about how God leads and guides.

Community Group and Real Marriage

It took our whole community group. One person to pick up our daughter from school. One couple to host our daughter for the night. Another one in our group to give her a ride to school tomorrow. All so we can take a day trip to Bellevue to hear Pastor Mark Driscoll give two sermons on marriage. And hear from his wife Grace.

What a great way to spend our 26th wedding anniversary!

As I Pray

My cousin liked the book so much she ordered a case. And gave them away. I am almost finished reading Gospel: Recovering the Power that Made Christianity Revolutionary by J.D. Greear. It is that good.

Here's a quote:

"As I pray, I'll measure Your compassion by the cross and Your power by the resurrection."

We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19 ESV

Iron Blessings

I thought I was helping a friend with a chore she couldn't do. Ironing dress shirts. But it was more than that. As I ironed, I thanked God for the friends who have helped me iron, fold laundry, and sort socks when I was in bed. I am grateful for better health right now.

But the best part of this chore was delivering the ironed shirts to my friend and having the chance to visit, read scripture, and pray together.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Acts 20:35 ESV

Parade Puppy

We bundled up. Even my friend's puppy. And marched in the parade. With kids, parents, and teachers from the Christian School.

Christmas Comes to Town

Our little town knows how to celebrate Christmas. The main street was blocked off tonight. Shops were open late. Free hot cider. Bonfires. Live music. Including shivering angels, shepherds, wise men, Mary and Joseph. The kids from the Christian School did a great job.

Tomorrow is the parade.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!" Luke 2:13-14 ESV

Mercy and Grace

I thought it was a reasonable question. What next, Lord? But after a year and a half, we are no closer to knowing what that means for my husband. A couple job possibilities haven't panned out. Meanwhile, God faithfully provides for our needs. And gives us mercy and grace.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 ESV

Little Jobs

My husband spent part of the day on the golf course. Overlooking the golf course, that is. We are always thankful for little jobs like cleaning roofs and gutters.

Fix Your Thoughts

I am easily distracted. Go into the store for one thing and promptly forget the one thing. There is so much to see and do! But this is the time to focus on one thing. One person, actually. And remember why Jesus came, and what He did for us.

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. Hebrews 3:1 NIV

Great Series

We caught some of the sermons a couple months into the series. And ended up staying.

Today was the 100th and last sermon in Luke. I'm thankful that my Bible Study Fellowship lessons pick up where Luke ends.

Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple blessing God. Luke 24:50-53 ESV

Great Day

It wasn't a good day for throwing a frisbee. Or blowing bubbles. Or having a picnic lunch. Like we've done on other visits. But it was a great day for riding scooters at the park in downtown Bellingham. Watching otters play in the bay. And taking pictures in the wind.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15 ESV

Thanksgiving to Go

They couldn't come to us. So we packed a turkey, pie-making supplies, etc. and came to them.

My daughter's roommates are gone so we have the house to ourselves. Perfect for hosting Thanksgiving with two of our adult children.

Remember the Lord

Why did the Israelites wander in the desert for 40 years? Because of their lack of faith. It was one year for every day of the scouting trip. I wonder what my report would have been like. Would I have focused on the giants or the land flowing with milk and honey that God was waiting to give me?

I want to be more like Joshua and Caleb. And remember that the Lord is with me.

If the LORD delights in us, he will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land that flows with milk and honey. Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them." Numbers 14:8, 9 ESV

My Brother

I always wanted an older brother. Now I have a husband who is gentle with me and takes good care of me. Today in my Bible study I read how Jesus considers Himself my brother. The perfect brother. I am loved.

For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers, Hebrews 2:11 ESV

All About Jesus

It must have been the best Bible study ever. Jesus Himself explained how the Scriptures fit together. How it was all about Jesus, the promised Messiah. Today's sermon was #99 in the series. One more and we are done with the book of Luke.

And he said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. Luke 24:25-27 ESV

Thanksgiving Dinner Love

For once I didn't pause dinner and take a photo. But it was a beautiful spread. My mother-in-law sure knows how to put on a nice dinner. Barbecued salmon, potatoes done to perfection, fresh green beans, apple salad, and rolls. And for dessert, blackberry pie from the berries we picked together this summer.

Happy early Thanksgiving to us!

The Whole Story

That about covers it. In just three verses in the book of Hebrews. The whole redemptive story. I love God's Word!

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:1-3 ESV

Early Call

I love early morning phone calls. When it means work for my husband. He has three and one-half days of subbing work logged in so far. Every little bit helps.

Easter in November

We are coming to the end of Luke. It was Mark Driscoll's sermon #98 in the Luke series. It was all about the resurrection of Jesus. And the empty tomb. It's Easter in November.

And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 1 Corinthians 15:17 ESV

Light a Fire

I call it lighting a fire. Having a reason to clean the house. Like a phone call that someone is stopping by. Or spending the night. Or your community group is having a party. At your house. A little motivation works for me.

New Generation of Heroes

I have some new heroes. Along with my grampa, cousins, and friends. Two neighbor kids have joined the Army and Navy. One is in boot camp and the other leaves this week. I watched them play in the street, sit at my counter and eat, graduate from high school, and now they are off to serve our country.

Thank you to all who have served our country, past and present!

My husband sent me roses. Pink, my favorite. With his cell phone. From our front yard. You could say the bloom is still on the roses.

Ravioli Love

My husband was inspired by something he saw on tv. A chef made homemade ravioli using wonton wrappers. My husband used ground turkey and Italian cheese. Put some marinara sauce loaded with veggies in the crock pot. And invited his parents to join us for dinner. Yum!

Next time we'll try adding spinach.

My husband made a new friend. A little friend. My husband was the substitute teacher in a special needs class yesterday. One of the students is someone we have prayed for many times in his six years of life. A little miracle. With a big smile.

Back in Business

We had a little mishap with a glass lid. No one got hurt, as I like to say. But I missed the lid to my favorite all-purpose pan. My daughter helped me make a paper template. We went to a little thrift store down the street and checked out their bin of lids. Bingo. Back in business. For 99 cents.

Crushed for Our Iniquities

It's hard to believe we are coming to the end. Our pastor has been preaching through the book of Luke. For over two years. Today we heard how and why Jesus died on the cross. Jesus suffered so we don't have to. That is Love.

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned--every one--to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:4-6 ESV

College Reunion

You wouldn't know it's been ten years since they saw each other. Or 30 years since they were college roommates. It was great to have my husband's friend Dave and his wife visit this weekend.

Skate Love

I can't believe how many brave parents there are. Not just young parents. Ones my age and older. They put on roller skates and got out there with the kids. It's been years since I skated. Can you believe I've roller skated on the streets of Taipei, Taiwan and Victoria, B.C.? I can't.

Sloppy Joes to Go

You've got email. No, wait. I just sent that to myself. My inbox is like a virtual big purse. I keep dropping things in there. Things I don't want to lose. Like the recipe for sloppy joes I made tonight for community group. I like how this recipe included shredded carrots. I used balsamic vinegar instead of cider vinegar. Turned out great.

Mr. Tidy

I was going to be vulnerable. With my sister. And send a before photo of my writing desk. But my husband helped me clean it off today. He carefully removed my scraps of paper, books, stash of pens, scissors, and that's where my calculator was hiding. I love how my husband takes care of me. And my stuff.

However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Redeem the Night

This had to be my favorite Halloween ever. Our community group spent the evening at our home. Plus my parents. We had three kinds of soup. Bread. Hot wassail. Cupcakes. Fruit. Lots of help answering the door. We probably had 150 kids come by.

Second Chance

Today's sermon included one of those loose ends. Scripture does not say what happened to the murderer Barabbas after he was released in Jesus' place. He was given a second chance. A do-over. I hope he used it well.

I am thankful for the second chances God has given me. Am I making the most of them?

He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus over to their will. Luke 23:25 ESV

Culture Day

I didn't go for the free lunch. Or free books. Or time with friends from church. I attended the one-day seminar to learn what it means to understand culture through the lens of the gospel, with excellent teaching by Dr. Glenn Lucke.

With thanks to the Mars Hill Military Mission for putting on this seminar and providing lunch and free books.

Halloween Theory

What to do? Turn off the lights? Go to a church party? Stock up on candy? Especially where we live. Van-loads of children invade our loop on Halloween, not to mention the dozens of munchkins that live in our 64-home development.

We have a plan to redeem the night. We invited our community group families to hang out at our place. Hand out candy. We can do that.

Tim Challies, one of my favorite bloggers, has a good article where he shares his Halloween Theory.

Sitting Still

We must have been sitting very still. Concentrating on our Bible study lesson. As we shared what we have been learning this week. In the classroom off the gym at church. So still that the sensor did not detect any movement and the lights went out.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV

Oral Report Report

I've learned about elephants, the missionary Gladys Alward, and heard poetry recited. But today I missed our daughter's oral report because I wasn't feeling well. My husband was able to go and hear our daughter talk about Florence Nightingale. In a first-person perspective. She did a great job.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23 ESV

Keeps Getting Better

The longer I know him, the more I love him.

Happy Birthday to my best friend!

However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:33 ESV

Take Two

The more the merrier. Or something like that. We offered to give our friend a ride to church because her husband had to work. And her baby. But then another friend needed a ride this morning. Looks like we need two vehicles. We can do that.

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:16 ESV

Feel the Love

I could feel the love. My grandma got to meet and hold my sister's new baby. How many babies has my grandma held, rocked, and knitted for? She welcomed my four children. And I always feel loved when I am around her.

Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Proverbs 31:28 ESV

Meet Margaret

And so we meet Margaret. Almost 8 weeks old. My sister and husband are here for a short visit. To see my parents, my uncle and aunt who are visiting from Texas, my uncle and aunt who live here, and my grandparents.

One more niece to love. Perfect.

Pictured: My sister's four (count 'em!) girls and my youngest.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14 ESV

In the Middle

I had things to do in the morning, late afternoon, and evening. My friend's doctor's appointment fit smack dab in the middle. I could be her driver. We even had time to stop for a bagel and cup of coffee.

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 ESV

Without Delay

We talked about Cornelius in Bible study today. He was a good example in many ways. God-fearing, generous, man of prayer, etc. But something I noticed was how he took action. Without delay. I want to be more like that.

So I sent for you at once, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord." Acts 10:33 ESV

On the Phone

Most evenings are pretty quiet around here. Except when the guinea pig thinks she hears her food bag crinkling. But tonight was one phone call after the other. Two friends asked favors. I said yes to one, no to the other. My son, mom, and grandmother called. I wonder how many people tried to call during the 30 minutes I was on the line with tech support.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17 ESV

We only have one child at home now. But at least she has our dog to keep her company.

My Barnabas

I enjoyed having my husband sit with me. In church. Last week he taught Sunday school (also known as "children's ministry") both services. Several children saw him between services today and said they missed him. My husband reminds me of Barnabas in the book of Acts.

for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord. Acts 11:24 ESV

For a Good Cause

A friend asked me to help her write a speech. We sat down together and brainstormed key points. It came together. Until she lost her voice. So I put on a dress and spoke to 100 people tonight. For a good cause. Our local pregnancy care center.

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 ESV

Dinner Inspiration

I need some dinner inspiration. For meal planning. How about looking through my photos? We had some good meals when my sister and brother-in-law were in town. Bring on the tofu.

She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. Proverbs 31:14 ESV

Hope I Never Need It

It's been a while. Years probably. So I thought it was a good idea to take a CPR class offered by the hospital. They offer the class 10 times a year and it's free. I highly recommend it.

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Galatians 5:14 ESV

God Sees Paul

Say what? God told Ananias to go to Saul, the arch enemy of the early church. Because God saw Saul's heart. Knew his potential. Called him. We see Saul. But God sees Paul.

“Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” Acts 9:13-16 NIV

Memo to the Disorganized

No offense taken. My friend said she thought I might like (need?) this book. Every chapter begins with Memo to the Disorganized. That's me. I used to own Ordering Your Private World by Gordon MacDonald. Probably read it years ago. I know I heard him speak 25 years ago. And yes, it is helpful.

Here's a sample Memo to the Disorganized:

If my private world is in order, it is because I have begun to seal the "time leaks" and allocate my productive hours in the light of my capabilities, my limits, and my priorities.

Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:20-21 NIV

Come Home to Soup

How do you prepare dinner and take a nap at the same time? I put some potatoes in to bake and set the timer. I grabbed my nap, sauted an onion, and assembled baked potato soup in the crock pot. I cut up the potato skins, tossed with olive oil, and toasted for 10 minutes. Turned off the oven and left for my daughter's volleyball game. Came home to hot soup. Works for us.

Better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a fattened ox and hatred with it. Proverbs 15:17 ESV

Truth about the Wrath of God

Does God love the sinner but hate sin? The answer might surprise you. Listen to a powerful sermon by Mark Driscoll about Jesus' prayer in the garden and why He sweat blood. If you dare.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. John 3:36 ESV

In the Valley

I love how my husband sends me photos of where he is working. It was a beautiful day in the valley where he is painting a friend's house.

Let the heavens praise your wonders, O LORD, your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones! Psalm 89:5 ESV

In a Box

I haven't chased a bus in a while. Not since the days of children riding the transit buses. Today I followed a Fed Ex truck all the way to the pick-up point. My notebook computer is in a box on its way to get repaired. Praise the Lord for warranties!

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 ESV

Same Page

My husband isn't on the same page with me. I am reading and studying Acts. He spends more time in Psalms. But tonight he gave the closing prayer at our community group and prayed exactly what I've been reading about. He prayed for boldness in our witness about Jesus. That's the Holy Spirit's specialty. So maybe my husband and I are on the same page after all.

And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31 ESV

Call it!

You have to communicate. Just like on the volleyball court. Call it. Who is going to do what? Even with just three at home, we still need to put things on the calendar. Coordinate plans.

For each will have to bear his own load. Galatians 6:5 ESV

Girls in the Backseat

What are you reading? The girls in the backseat shared what fiction they are reading. I'm mostly in non-fiction these days. (Just finished Same Kind of Different As Me and almost done with Organized Simplicity by Tsh Oxenreider.) And so we had a nice conversation on the way to the volleyball game 30 minutes away.

Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding. Proverbs 23:23 ESV

Enjoy the Day

Here's a plan for a relaxing Sunday. Put turkey chili in the crock pot in the morning. Attend church. With your parents if they are in town and at the same service. After church grab a cup of coffee. Maybe a bagel.

If the rain stops, go for a walk by Capitol Lake. (Notice I didn't say around. That would be three miles and I wasn't prepared for that.) Don't forget to take a photo of yourself and your daughter enjoying the day.

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:17 ESV
