Where's the Bible verse about tears in a bottle? In Sunday school a friend shared how that verse was meaningful when dealing with the death of a child. She had never noticed the first part of Psalm 56:8: "You have taken account of my wanderings..." That spoke to where she was in her grief. I came home and used the free Bible computer program e-Sword to search for the word "tears." I could have used the hardback Bible concordance I keep by my bed. The English Standard Version reads: You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? I went online to Bible.org to compare Bible translations. The New American Standard version uses the word "wanderings." Whether I am wandering or being tossed, God notices my suffering and cares.
